• A “0” a loss as in the whole position is gone. We don’t use stops on purpose on our options positions and it has been working out quite well. That said, the no stop factor is built in to our system because many positions come back to win and often win big with this system. And it’s built into our money management system which means that we assign total risk to the position vs. basing on an average stop out.
• We use between 6-8 weeks to expiration options usually for a balance between premium decay waste and deltas.
• We are putting stock points below. Options results would vary in depending on how far OTM vs. ATM one uses in a position. That said you can assume a little under 1/2 of the stock points as options profit points. This also means that any zero trade you see would mean that you subtract the whole options amount of the position size from the options total. So if you had a sum total of 265 stock points, 116 options profit points roughly then had 10 losses: then subtract 30 from 116 to leave 86 profit points or $172,000 on 20 contracts.
